A great headshot must tell a story. Your story. It’s the story of you, your outlook on life, your experiences, the way you approach your career or your passion, and where you’re headed.

A carefully crafted headshot is a key part of publicly representing you and your personal brand. As with all first impressions, your headshot must reveal the authenticity of who you are and what you’re about. It’s important that the image reflect the real you, not how you think people might want to see you. Luckily, the days of staged and fake “mug-shot” photographs are behind us. Polished, genuine, and effortless headshots are now expected.

Nervous? Unless you’re an experienced model, everyone is a little camera shy. I’ll provide the professional guidance to calm your nerves to show your most authentic and confident self. My sessions are FUN, first and foremost, and I want you to always feel at ease and will gently guide you into the best poses to highlight your naturally positive features.

Professional headshots usually focus on your upper body, such as your head and shoulders. Your professional headshot often creates the first impression business colleagues and customers form of you.

When taking a professional headshot, you should wear clothing that’s business-appropriate and accurately reflects who you are as a professional. Choose an outfit you would be confident wearing to a job interview or meeting a customer. For example, a lawyer might wear a business suit whereas a soccer coach might wear a team jersey or athletic wear.

The goal of any professional headshot is to draw attention to your face. With this in mind, choose clothing that’s a simple design and solid color. If you opt to wear jewelry, keep it minimal so it’s not distracting. Still not sure what to wear? No worries!
